Change of Season, Change of Hair

I'm dying to cut my hair. I'm thoroughly sick to death of it. My impulse is to royally chop it like in the first picture. But to keep from being too quick on the draw; I added the lower hairstyles. The three styles have one theme in common, bangs--I want them.

What's your favorite of the three?

  1. I LOVE the top one--but I'm not sure how it would look on me.
The heavy bang is really in now. I think I kind of like the one on the right. :)

  2. Definitely do the top one!!! It's new and sassy and I think it suits you wonderfully. The others are just safe. Nice but safe if you know what I mean. ;)

  3. I love the top one, but you could always cut bangs first and then decide how much else to do ~Michelle

    1. True, maybe have her start with the bangs and see how I like it. Good thoughts, Michelle.

  4. I'm too paranoid to ever chop all of mine off. In 2010 I did an almost-wedge above the shoulders and I liked it for a couple months, then I really really really missed my long hair. It's finally at a length I'm happy with again. If I want a change now I'll just add more layers or do something different around the face. Whatever you decide, I can't wait to see! :)

    1. I know what you mean. If you've had a hairstyle you didn't love, it's hard to want to cut again. I'm not as much of a long-hair lover; it just gets old to me.

  5. I like the third one, but I think the short one would be perfect with your face. I don't have thick enough hair for it to look like that on me. :-)

    1. You think so? That's what I was debating...is it right for my face shape? Good to hear your thoughts.

  6. I like the bangs on the 2nd combined with the style of the 3rd! Enjoy the chop! It's always so free-ing.

  7. Loving the first and the third one. Depends how much time you want to spend on your hair. I had a bob done last week and am still getting used to it. Annette x

    1. The time spent depends on the day, haha. But my hair cooperates with me most times. :D

  8. LOL! Sis, I have been chomping for new twist to hair too and just last night chopped heavy bang and layers for myself! Twin hair powers activate! ;) All your hairstyle pics are cute! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the top one. Your face would be perfect in it!! I love the way it tapers in the back too and the heavy side swipe bang.

  9. Well, how fast does your hair grow? The top one looks super cute and easy to manage. I like the second one a little better, but I know that I personally would never be able to keep it looking that good all the time! ;)
I have a bob, which works well for me. It's easy to take care of and my hair grows so quickly that it's long-ish again by the end of the season. Then more decisions can be made!

    1. My hair must grow pretty fast. I had a hairdresser measure it once and we found that it grew 3/4 of an inch per month. So maybe that's why I've never been too scared to try new styles; it grows back quick. :)

  10. I am with you on this one! A week ago today I had been searching on yelp nonstop for places to get good cheap haircuts because I had the itch to get it cut. (It had been over a year since I had had it cut!) So finally I came across a place that was a three minute drive from my house and before I could talk myself out of it, I went. The lady just cut it straight across--no special nothing haha. I haven't had a "straight-across" cut since middle school, but I rarely style my hair these days so it seemed silly to spend $60 on a cut that no one but me would see ya know? Anyway! It was even and that's all that matters haha! I'm really glad I chopped it off--it had been driving me nuts! And this has turned into a really long comment as it is, so let me just get to me vote already ; ] I really like the first one for you--but only if you have thick hair. For me, I have bushy hair but when I straighten it, it becomes very flat so I could never rock a 'do like that. But I could totally imagine you with hair like that : ] I wish you lots of luck and that it turns out way better than you ever imagined possible!!

  11. #1 is so cute. Go for it. It's so much more fun to do the drastic thing, especially if your hair grows fast. At least twice in my life I've cut my waist length hair really short. The first time was after college. I did the short spiky punk thing. I just wanted to try something really different. It was like getting a new persona for a season. 'Can't wait to see it!
