Much Love Monday: Prints for Sale!

I'll be honest, I've been hesitant to do it.  I've had an Etsy shop for over a year and I'm just now putting up prints.  There were lots of fear boulders to climb; I didn't feel ready (ie. not good enough, not artsy enough, not prepared enough).  I was being an utter perfectionist about how the prints looked and finally just had to be honest that I was afraid to list my work.

Not wanting to be a coward, I challenged myself with a deadline--to have something up by the end of the weekend.  With trembling hands, I reached my goal. The canyon has been jumped and prints are up!  (See there's proof--an Etsy mini on the sidebar)  I'll continue to add to the store, but for now I'm relieved to have taken my first baby steps.

In celebration of the Grand Opening, I'm giving away a free print! If you're interested, browse my shop and  leave a comment here telling me the print you'd like.  I'll announce a winner on Friday.

  5. There's an enormous vulnerability that comes with not only expressing your inner most thoughts but sharing any sort of projects we attempt. They're these little labours of love that we set forth into the world and hope with all our hearts they aren't judged too harshly.
Congratulations on successfully overcoming your fears and being brave enough to embrace your vulnerability.
Glad you did because your work is beautiful.
I'm torn between sisters at heart and fly - they're both so very poignant.
Best of luck with your future ventures xx

  6. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO PROUD OF YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love them all, Catherine, but my two favorite would have to be HOPE or FLY. (Pink hair or blue bird, pink hair or blue bird. lol.)

Your shop looks fantastic and so professional! Can't wait to see what becomes of it. Good things, I'm sure.

  8. I can't believe you doubted yourself, Catherine! But I'm thrilled you took the leap. You know only too well how I feel about your art (do you have a restraining order against your #1 stalker fan yet?). I tried to see your prints, but for some reason they won't come up on my computer. You know I love them ALL, though! :-)

How inspiring to see you take such a step amidst the fear. You go girl!

I enjoy your artwork so much. My favorite is "Fly" because that is what I want to do...explore the unknown out of the cage!
