Jackee at Winded Words sent me a book called Walking on Alligators by Susan Shaughnessy and it's been a wealth of encouragement. (Thank you, Jackee!) This quote gripped me this morning:

Love it! Sometimes it does feel like being alone against the storm or that it's such a loooong way to go. But getting there? Bring out the champagne.

Ooo, a finished manuscript does feel like a huge success. I'm hoping having 2 finished manuscripts feels even better.

Success to me, if I'm being real, is perfection....I feel like a failure often due to that fact.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the quote above! I think Tom said it best! Success is when I've finished a first draft, print out all the pages and witness the work I just put into the pages, it's beautiful.
