My Friend

Update:  Her biopsy went well and wasn't painful.  She won't know anything for 24-48 hours.

My friend found a lump in her breast last week.  She has a biopsy today.  If you believe in prayer, please pray for her.  Her family's been through countless struggles already, even without this.  It doesn't seem fair.  I guess it never does.

  3. I hope everything turns out ok. Don't let the news of the lump automatically take away your hope. There are MANY and I do mean MANY cases of breast lumps which are not cancerous, but even if it is, there are lots of options and I know a few people personally who have been through breast cancer ordeals and been just fine.

  4. I came over in a happy mood to tell you your link worked. :) But now I'm sad. My aunt had breast cancer but she survived and has been doing better than ever for years now. Your friend and her family are in my prayers.

    Karen Amanda, I was excited the link worked. But yes, this is heavy. I'm so glad things are good with your Aunt now. All these stories give me hope.

  6. Praying mightily for your friend. I believe that prayer works, and I trust God with my whole heart. We serve a Savior who is FULLY able to heal. If He make the lame walk, the blind see- there is nothing too hard for Him!

  11. Oh, Catherine, I hope by now you've had a good report. I'm so thankful she has good friends like you. Praying.

    He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
    He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
    To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
    To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
    When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
    When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
    When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
    Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
    Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
    Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
    Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
    The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
    His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
    His power no boundary known unto men;
    For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
    He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
