Flourish

I've had so much fun painting this week. Ended up having extra time to just enjoy it and play around. {I posted the progress on this one earlier because I wasn't finished, but I finished it last night and added the top photo} It's amazing how painting contributes to my happiness. I feel so much lighter afterwards, as if a load evaporated off my shoulders.

We have my son's basketball game Saturday morning and it's going to be the most difficult team of the season. He is psyched about it. I am too, because it'll be a fun game to watch. What are you doing this weekend?

  4. flourish - is such a wonderful word - it makes me think of all sorts of unfurling, unfolding - discoveries - adventures. Weekend - taking two of my friends to a coffee shop out in the country to have tea and scones / tidying up my studio / working on some designs for cards and swimming.........

    1. Thank you! These are many of my favorite colors ~ I gravitate to them.

I know, it's fun to see him so excited. I'm really hoping they win; my nails may be completely bitten off by the end of it. ;)

  18. painting is the best therapy around isn't it... and this weekend it is all about Australia Day... long weekend and celebrations everywhere and the normal seasonal rain to make it all interesting... part of the fun of the weekend is dodging the rain... xx

  20. Something I love about your paintings is that from one piece to the next, I can always tell it's one of yours. You have a very distinct style, and I love that they all fit together even though they stand alone, if that makes any sense :)

This weekend I'm going to see a local HS production of Sweeney Todd.... a little concerned but curious!
