Truth Thursdays: I'm Back, Sort of

Thank you for all your sweet words, my blogging friends.  The break was needed.  I don't know yet how often I'll be posting but I'm inching back.  Truth Thursdays seemed a good place to start.  Here are my truths today:
  • I'm taking the daughter of my sweet friend with me to Harry Potter tonight at midnight. I can't help feeling my friend will be there with us.
  • Our vacation was healing on so many levels.  Standing before the ocean reminded me of the bigger picture.  Being with my family, away from the bustle of life was needed.
  • I've found it difficult to paint recently.  But my journal is full.
  • I'm a Potter-maniac.  I'll be getting in line at 4:00 this afternoon to snag great seats since our spots in the theater are not assigned.  Yes, I'm crazy.  That's eight hours before the movie.  What can I say?
  • My children are Potter-crazed too.  My eldest is making Pumpkin Pasties and Butter Beer (like Root Beer) for everyone to snack on.  The girls created Love Potion necklaces.  I'll post pictures if given permission--they're adorable!  My son is a Draco look-alike and he'll be dressing up like him (maybe I can sneak pics of that too!).

  1. Hi Catherine - good to hear from you again. Me and mine are also Potter nuts - we've seen every Potter movie on the big screen - will properly take my girls to see it this weekend - if we can get sits. Welcome back

  4. Good to hear that your vacation was a healing one and that you are able to spend time with your friend's daughter doing something fun tonight. LOVE that your family are Potter-maniacs. Our kids are still a bit young, but my hubby and I can't wait to see it! I love that your oldest is making Potter snacks! :-)

  5. I'm so glad to see you back! Even if it's just a little at a time. We're Potter crazed over here too, but... with a toddler in tow and no husband in the state, it's impossible for me to see it until I can get a sitter. My sitter also happens to be a Potter fan, so.... she told me way ahead of time she'd be unavailable this weekend, haha.

I'd love to see pictures if you can get permission!

I love thinking about you and your family all dressed up at the HP movie...we are HUGE fans too, but haven't made it to the movie yet. I think I kind of feel sad to go, knowing it will be the last time...Hope the movie was good fun for your soul! Praying for you, friend :).

  12. I woke up thinking about you this morning, wondering how you're doing. I was away last week and didn't read blogs and am catching up this week. So glad to see your words here. How was the wait for prime seats? That does sound crazy, but crazy fun. It's making a memory. We went to the movie last Friday. Loved it.
    Take care!
