"Writing is my form of celebration and prayer." -- Diane Ackerman
What is writing to you? OR How do you celebrate life?
Note: One addition to this post. There is a contest going on at Something to Write About for a $10 gift card at Barnes and Noble, Borders, or Powells. Check it out!
writing to me... i am most definitely not a writer but when i do write it is when i am usually in pain. it is a way for me to express that which my heart feels. a way for me to be human. a way for my heart to speak when i can't find words to talk. and the weirdest thing happens, they come. i write best when i am sad.
Joanne- That makes sense. I think the best writing comes when emotions are raw. And while you may not consider yourself a writer, you definitely tell stories with your photos.
I love to write, but deep down, I think I really do it to make my mother proud. Nothing would thrill me more than to give her a published book, dedicated to her for her amazing role in my life.
Writing is my outlet and my escape. Writing injects life with romance and whimsy. :)
ReplyDeleteSarahAnn - So true! Writing for me is sharing my soul with the world.
ReplyDeleteWriting is myself. My good, my bad, my everything.
ReplyDeleteWriting is my dream, my wish, my worry, my wonder..
ReplyDeleteLadies, what beautiful descriptions. I guess I should've expected that from writers. :)
ReplyDeleteWriting is my escape, my abandon, my freedom.
ReplyDeleteFreedom. Ooo...good one, Mary.
ReplyDeleteWriting is my outlet. Some people scrapbook. Some people paint. Some people play tennis. I write.
ReplyDeletei celebrate by laughing - not taking life too seriously and finding something funny in everything. yes even rejections! ;)
ReplyDeleteNatalie - Writing is my outlet too. I dabble in other things but writing is my constant.
ReplyDeleteShelli - I need to be more like that. Laughing at rejections? You may have to teach me how. lol
